Boerne Wild Game Dinner 2015
Saturday, November 7th — This event hosted by the Boerne Chamber of Commerce marks the 5th Annual Wild Game Dinner. Located at the Kendall County Fair on River Rd., this is just down the street from Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® Boerne Office at 1677 River Road. Proceeds from the event provide four-year scholarships to Kendall County youth who study for agriculture, wildlife management, culinary arts and fine arts. Honored recipients of these scholarships are Steely Lott, Hayley Butler, Emery Dorman and Sterling Shrum, featured here in a special edition of 2015 Boerne Wild Game Dinner Boerne Magazine. The publication explains how the event was created in 2011 to share a vision of good food with family and friends.
Starting at 5:30pm and running until 10pm neighbors from throughout the Hill Country, Texas Coast and from as far away as Houston all gathered in this celebration. Featuring live and silent auction, a wild game expo, an art show and the beauty of Americana this was the event to attend. Chairman’s Circle sponsor (and dear friends) GVTC, along with presenting sponsor Ranch Radio, were there to participate in the festivities. Exceptional cooks were the cornerstone, and let’s face it – it’s all about the food! Serving up some of the best food Texas has to offer, these chef’s feature delicacy’s such as jalapeño-bacon-wrapped quail, grilled bison sliders (we heard these were a big hit), fried alligator, whole roasted hog, elk fajitas, crawfish pasta and more.
