CBHarper Best Place to Work for 2017

The San Antonio Business Journal announced 75 winners in its 2017 Best Places to Work awards.

This year’s winners fall into four different categories. To determine this year’s winner, Quantum Workplace surveyed employees through a secure website posing a range of questions in categories relating to teamwork, leadership, benefits and work engagement. The honoree companies were those that scored highest.

Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® is a family owned company. That phrase is often tossed about and therefore perhaps become watered down in its meaning. Our CBHarper family is more that just “family owned and operated”, it IS family. We grow and work together closely to offer the level of service we would hope to receive.

A luncheon will be hosted on July 20th at the Grand Hyatt where we will be humbly accepting our award. Through the years as we continue to receive ‘Best Places to Work’ awards it is a reminder of our responsibility to provide that positive environment. The President of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®, Leesa Harper-Rispoli, will gladly stop, give you a hug in the hallway and ask about your family. Why? Because it’s more than just a job, and she is more than just an employer or business woman. Leesa and D’Ann (Broker / Owner) are passionate and care deeply about their employees. They know that the success of a company relies on those who work, behind the scenes, day in and day out to sustain a synergy of trust, transparency, and fulfillment.

Brad Graves of Trilogy Group Welcomed as Member of Helotes Chamber of Commerce

Recently the Helotes Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome new member Brad Graves of Trilogy Group. Brad is a Top Producer for Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® and has been with the company since 2006.

In this new role, Brad hopes to embrace the opportunity to create relationships in the community. The Helotes Chamber of Commerce is a fantastic way to meet people and help effective positive changes.

CBHarper’s 2017 Best in Residential Real Estate

April 2017 — The San Antonio Business Journal revealed the top performing agents and teams in their annual “Best in Residential Real Estate Awards” at the Pearl Stable.

The list ranking is based on the dollar volume of closed sales in 2016 and was divided into five different categories. Of the approximately 10,000 residential real estate agents in the San Antonio area, about 3% were nominated by their brokers. We’re very thankful to our Chief Financial Officer, Jackie Thibadeau, who compiles and submits this information on behalf of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®.

As a previous Director at a large retirement community in San Antonio and many years of real estate and marketing experience, I have a passion for helping and serving others with trustworthiness, integrity and top notch service. Firms are ranked by both transaction sides and sales volume. Due to the requirement that all information be independently verified, REAL Trends 500 remains THE trusted source for information about the performance of these firms.

Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® outperformed other big-name brokerages in the San Antonio area and was ranked 187 on REAL Trends 500 list for 2016. Sales volume for companies affiliated with Coldwell Banker out-produced every other national brand both nationally and locally.

Kerry Dike, Back-to-Back #1 Individual Sales Agent 2015-2016

As the famous Shrek once said, “Onions have layers.” Much like the almighty onion Kerry Dike also has layers, except she doesn’t stink and won’t make you cry (on purpose).

Kerry Dike has been a Sales Agent with Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® since September 2006. On her eleven year journey with Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® Kerry is often described as extremely hard-working, energetic and a creative problem-solver. Well known for her sense of humor, Kerry is able to meet any challenge with optimism and determination. Evidence of her success has been the achievement of #1 Sales Agent in the company for 2015 and 2016. Kerry’s multi-million dollar production ranks heftily at approximately 12 million dollars.

Outside of being a full-time REALTOR® Kerry is involved in a Planning and Zoning Committee for the City of Shavano Park. The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of nine members appointed by City Council, one of which is Kerry. They recommend boundaries of zoning districts, appropriate regulations, as well as preparation for public hearings and reports to City Council.

When asked about her goals Kerry says, “It’s about everyday, working to be a better REALTOR® than I was the day before. I want to show my children that life is about work ethic and how hard you’re willing to work to get what you want. For me, D’Ann remains the Gold Standard in every way. Period. I’m proud to be a part of that legacy.”

The most positive impact on Kerry’s success has been her family. They have taught her that in the right shoes, you can go anywhere — except if you’re in heels… and it’s muddy or if you’re on one of those gravel paths. Regardless, Kerry says she makes family choices and support non-negotiable in business.

Going forward her Kerry’s goal for 2017 is to be the best real estate consultant she can be. She does offer some advice for those looking to break into the real estate industry, “Luck doesn’t exist in real estate. When you are prepared for success, you will then recognize opportunities as they happen.”

… also, “Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away, and you have their shoes.”

March 2017 — Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® announced the winners and achievers from the 2016 year. The ceremony was held at the JW Marriott Hill Country Resort and included all the Sales Agents from our offices located through the Greater San Antonio area.

Judy LaDeur, an industry leader, was the guest speaker and shared her knowledge about developing a strong skill set for REALTORS®, brokers and team leaders.  Her invigorating perspective and keen ideas had many with their mental notepads jotting down tokens to remember.

Over 300 guests, agents and employees attended, including many new faces welcomed as part of the CBHarper Family. A positive turnout, attendance was a increase from previous years. We were particularly proud to see many folks donning gold to align with the theme, A Gold Standard.

Congratulations Cynthia Leos, SRS

March 2017Cynthia Leos, REALTOR® based out of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® New Braunfels Sales Office has proudly achieved another designation. This is her third designation within the past year. Those designations include SRS, PSA and GRI.

 

 The Seller Representative Specialist (SRS) designation is the premier credential in seller representation. It is designed to elevate professional standards and enhance personal performance. The designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers (CRB) who meet specific educational and practical experience criteria.

According to the National Association of REALTORS®, the SRS Course will redefine your “normal” and reinvent the way you represent sellers.  It provides a comprehensive foundation of skill development, training and resources to help real estate professionals represent the interests of sellers in today’s marketplace.

Students learn to:

  • Increase listings and grow their business
  • Demonstrate and communicate their value package to seller clients
  • Understand and apply the Code of Ethics & Standards of Practice
  • Understand and comply with state license laws when representing sellers
  • Understand and apply methods, tools, and techniques to provide support and services that sellers want and need
