CB Harper Wins Boerne Business of the Year
Boerne, TX — The Annual Awards Gala for The Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce was held at The Cana Ballroom on February 19th. Each year they recognize outstanding members for their contributions to the community. Presenting sponsor Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® was also the proud winner of Boerne’s Business of the Year for 2015 (Over 50 Employees).
Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® is dedicated to building a positive footprint in Kendall County through superior service in the real estate industry. While producing over $50 million dollars in transactions locally in 2015, we focused on finding the time to give back to our community. D’Ann Harper was featured on SA Living on News 4 San Antonio to discuss how Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® continually strives towards innovation, trust and partnership in the ever changing real estate market.
Our community volunteer efforts for 2015 included:
February – Headed up a Volunteer team to work the Hill Country Daily Bread “Vision Dinner” Silent Auction event. This was our 3rd year to volunteer at this event.
March – Gathered Agents to help start up the Hill Country Optimist Club. This Optimist club serves the Kendall county area to benefit RMYA Meadowlands. Several of the Agents sit on the Board of Directors.
April – Formed a Team from the Community and participated in the “Any Baby Can” walk / run!
July – Initiated an undergarment drive for Hill Country Daily Bread. The Director stated they were very low on underwear and socks for the children in need in our community in preparation for school. We initiated a “Cover their Tush & Toes” drive. We challenged other Real Estate Companies in town and reached out to the community. We were able to donate hundreds of undergarments for HCDB in time!
July-August – We initiated a “School Clothing Drive for the Children at RMYA Meadowlands”. We received the children’s sizes and went again…went to our Agents and community to help fill 82 bags for the children at Meadowlands. They each received a package of underwear, socks, jeans, shirts, dresses and shoes for the first week of school!
August – Hosted a Pet Adoption in the parking lot on River Rd. Had local City and Kendall County Animal shelters bring four legged friends that found wonderful new homes!
October – Organized a community garage sale “Fire Sale” to benefit the local Fire Department.
November – Raised Money for Turkeys for Hill Country Daily Bread. This Charity provides 500 families with Thanksgiving meals and they were low on turkeys for the families. We, once again, went to the community and helped raise money to purchase and deliver 224 turkeys and money for additional canned goods in time for Thanksgiving!
November – Worked at the YMCA Turkey Trot 5-10K run handing out water to runners.
November – Worked the Gun Raffle Tables for the Boerne Chamber of Commerce Wild Game Dinner.
December – Held “The First Give” for children in need in our community. Coldwell Banker hosts a “Bear Hunt” every year to collect new and used stuffed animals for children in the community. This year the Boerne office collected over 754 animals. We had Santa arrive in a Firetruck and came to see children. The children were able to select an animal for themselves and one to give as a gift. They were treated to milk and cookies and a fun jump. The remaining animals were donated to First Responders, Hill Country Daily Bread and RMYA Meadowlands… The really “loved/used” ones were donated to the Animal Shelters.
