Top 10 Dog-Friendly Restaurants in San Antonio

By Fabi R. Gomes | May 24th, 2019

It’s no surprise that San Antonio boasts a ton of kid-friendly restaurants, one reason the city is so attractive to families. But what about our four-legged family members? Fortunately, San Antonio has numerous locations to grab a bite with the entire family. Here are just a few of our favorites:

1. Ritas on the River
This popular Tex-Mex restaurant offers a variety of dining options—incredible margaritas, traditional fajitas, and veggie options for non-meat eaters—for families visiting downtown. Enjoy your meal with stunning river views and mariachi music. Make sure your pup will be comfortable with crowds and noises, as this is in the highest-traffic area of the Riverwalk.

2. Fralo’s
For something a bit more serene, dine and relax under a canopy of oak trees while listening to live music and experiencing fresh hand-tossed pizza with a wide selection of wine and beer. The restaurant encourages guest to also BYOB, order to-go meals, or what they call “take and bake” at home.

3. Madhatters Tea House and Cafe
This charming neighborhood café is located in a Southtown house and features breakfast, lunch, brunch, and tea parties in a wide-ranging setting with outdoor dining.
