Exciting Changes at Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®
April 2016 — Exciting changes at Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® were shared this week with the announcement of a new president, a retirement, a promotion and a new CB Harper family member.
We received word from D’Ann Harper with all the details of these changes along with her continued assurance toward the commitment of her company, employees and the real estate industry. Please join us in sharing this wonderful news!
As we look forward to another fabulous year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the entire CBHarper family for your continued trust as we build a real estate company that sets the gold standard in our market. I’m so very proud of our legacy, but even more excited about our future! Thank you for your contributions and for your partnership as we continue on this journey together.
If there is one thing I’ve learned over the many years of building our company, it is that our people are at the center of our success. And those people are in the driver’s seat of our journey together, helping to navigate the many challenges and changes we face along the way. Our ability to be trendsetters over the years has been a key ingredient in our growth. And don’t we all know it, change is the only thing that remains constant.
Which brings me to some very important announcements we have to share today.
After nearly eight years as Executive Vice President of Residential Sales, and a lifetime in the Real Estate industry, Nancy Carlson will be retiring at the end of 2016. I’ve worked with and known Nancy for quite a while and consider her a personal friend. Many of you may not know that Nancy had a distinguished career with Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate before joining our team. Needless to say, we are so grateful for her many contributions and will miss her leadership. Personally, I’m very proud of her as she closes this chapter of her life and begins to enjoy her retirement with family and friends.
In light of this news, the timing is appropriate to re-organize our Senior Management team moving forward. We are so blessed to have the strongest people in our marketplace, and it is about to get even better!
First, it gives me great joy to share with you that my daughter, Leesa Harper Rispoli, has been promoted to the position of President, Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®. She has spent the past 12 years working side by side with not only myself, but our entire Senior Management Team to help grow our company successfully. Specifically, Leesa has been instrumental in growing our Property Management portfolio from 500 to over 1,500 properties. She has also built a strong asset management portfolio. Most recently, Leesa was a member of the inaugural graduating class of Realogy’s Ascend Program, The Executive Leader Experience, which focuses on grooming successor’s to lead their company into the future.
In this new role, Leesa will become one more person I’ve tasked to carry out my vision to continue to be the leader in our marketplace. Additionally, she will be charged with the responsibility of acquisitions for both the residential and property management divisions. As a 2nd generation Harper, who else could be more suited to ensure that my vision continues – to improve on our principles of Innovation, Trust, and Partnership.
As for me, well I’m not going anywhere!! All of you are going to be stuck with me for a long time. I might travel a little more, and be a little more adventurous. But trust me, my commitment and passion to CBHarper has never been stronger.
Nancy and I have been discussing her retirement for over a year with an emphasis on finding the right candidate to replace her and to ensure a successful transition. Most recently, I have interviewed several candidates in person and by phone, all of whom were referred to me by Realogy/Coldwell Banker. After narrowing the selection down to two candidates, I asked the Senior Management Team to interview both of them. To my surprise, and delight, after the first interview they recommended we look no further. So, I’m delighted to share with you today that Valerie Lyday will be joining our team on 5/2/2016 and working with Nancy to ensure a successful transition. Some of you may recognize Valerie’s name, as most recently she has served as Regional Senior VP with Coldwell Banker NRT (Austin Region). Previous to that, she was President of the Austin Region for Coldwell Banker United, REALTORS®. Valerie’s entire career has been devoted to the real estate industry. She comes to us with a strong background in real estate training and management, with excellent contract and legal expertise. We are very blessed to have her join our team and take the baton from Nancy over the coming months.
Third, Amy Taege has been promoted to the position of Regional Manager of Property Management. In this new role, Amy will take over for Leesa and oversee all of our Property Management offices. Having worked in every position in the department for over seven years, she is well suited in this new role and we are thrilled to have her.
Please help me in wishing Nancy the very best and congratulating Leesa, Valerie, and Amy in their new roles. It is certainly a bright time at CBHarper and I look forward to the many good things that are in store for our future.
Once again, I want to thank each of you for your trust and partnership. You have my commitment that we will continue to build on our strong foundation and legacy, as well as push the innovative envelope of the future. Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® is stronger than ever and we look forward to our future successes.
Thank you – D’Ann
