Let’s Rodeo Ball with CBHarper

A group of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® Sales Agents enjoyed a night out courtesy of D’Ann Harper and Leesa Harper-Rispoli.

The Let’s Rodeo Ball is a major fundraising event for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo Scholarship Fund. Set in an upscale country western style, this party features top entertainment, gourmet food and dancing.

This event certainly is fun for both rodeo fans and everyone from the Greater San Antonio area. The performing artists of the night were Gary Allan, Neal McCoy and Bret Mullins.

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo has grown to be one of the largest events, possible with the except of Fiesta, with as many as two million visitors each year.*  It is one of the top PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) rodeos in the nation.

The San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. was established with the mission “A volunteer organization that emphasizes agriculture and education to develop the youth of Texas”. The focus on educating the youth of Texas lead to integrating 4-H and FFA high school students and making educational commitments to support their interest in the agricultural and livestock industry. In 1984, the scholarship program began when fifteen, four-year scholarships totaling $90,000 to were awarded to students entering Texas colleges in the fall. Since then, the organization has committed more than $171.4 million to the youth of Texas through scholarships, grants, endowments, junior livestock auctions, youth western art auction, calf scramble program and show premiums.**

Coldwell Banker Leadership Summit

April 8th — Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® management team members recently attended the Leadership Summit in both Orlando, Florida and Chicago, Illinois hosted by Coldwell Banker, LLC. These conferences, taking place in multiple cities, were designed to empower Coldwell Banker brokers and managers in understanding and communicating the Coldwell Banker value proposition.

In attendance at the Coldwell Banker Leadership Summit in Orlando was Julie Conner, Vice President of Residential Sales North West Office; Julie Gezella, Vice President of Residential Sales New Braunfels Office; Amy Thibodeaux, Vice President of Residential Sales Boerne Office; Addie Langehennig, Vice President of Professional Development; Pat Busby, Vice President of Residential Sales North Central Office and Ali Heft, Assistant Vice President of Residential Sales North Central Office.

Keynote speaker Tom Ferry shared his insight about the art of coaching Sales Agents that call Coldwell Banker home. Attendees then participated in sessions such as “The Smart Home Revolution Is Here”, “10 Things You Didn’t Know You Needed” and “Dramatically Increase Your Per Person Productivity.”

D’Ann Harper, Owner/Broker of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® said, “The Leadership Summit was a great opportunity for our management team to come together with team members from other Coldwell Banker brokerages from across the country. To receiving this valuable training from Coldwell Banker Real Estate it also allows the exchange of ideas and development of new skills. We are excited to implement this new knowledge and share it with our offices and Sales Agents.”

A Conversation with The Frye Team

JFrye_613125Our next testimonial for the series is with Donna and Jeff Frye, from CBHarper’s North Central/Stone Oak Office. Donna started her Real Estate business about 9 years ago, while Jeff joined a little over 2 years ago. Donna said when she was looking around trying to decide which Brokerage to join, she didn’t think CBHarper was going to be a good fit.

“After 3 (Brokerage) interviews, I came here to CBHarper and met with a professional development manager and the sales manager,” she said. “When I was walking in the parking lot, I saw lots of Lexus’ and Mercedes and I thought this is not for me. I drove a nice pickup truck. But the moment I met (with the managers), it felt like home. I walked out and told my husband I found my place.”

For their 2014, they are implementing a continuous marketing plan. “Since I’ve been in the business for 9 years, I have a lot of past clients and I think the key is keeping in contact with them,” she said. “The marketing department helps with that! Whenever (my past clients) have friends or family thinking about moving, they call me first.” Jeff added, “our other focus is our newsletter. We send it out to a neighborhood quarterly. In it, we educate them on the process of buying and selling home.”

A Conversation with Andy Smith

When asked why he chose CBHarper, Andy said he was very impressed with the company when he was thinking about joining the Brokerage. Also during his training, he said what CBHarper brings to the table is beyond reproach. It set him up for success! He said the training, specifically the contract training, set him up to prevail, and made him feel like he knew what he was doing with the 1st contract.

A Conversation with Craig and Libby Ross

A Conversation with Angela Hayden

Angela Hayden shares her excitement of the opening and closing sessions, the Breakout session was real world and she’s applying the skills learned immediately to her business!

Angela said she really enjoyed the trip and was in awe of walking into the Lincoln Center where the opening session was held. It was awesome to have the opportunity to walk into the building with 1,000s of Coldwell Banker agents all on the same page and so excited about what the company is doing.

During the breakout sessions, Angela especially liked the one by Zan Monroe. Keeping it real, she said he talked about bringing real estate back to business and back to the basics.  Sales Associates shouldn’t forget that real estate is a people business. Don’t just focus only on social media and thinking that it is reaching your clients. You need to talk and see them.

Angela said she has been implementing 100% of what she learned at Gen Blue and plans to go back every year. Not only to learn more, but also just to feel the excitement and re-connect with the people she met!

A Conversation with Ken Davis

CBHarper got me to double my production and become a Platinum Top 50 Agent!

A Conversation with Chris Bowers

The break out session and looking at my business differently!

Chris had not been to a Gen Blue conference in a while, but after this last one, he said he will absolutely plan on going to the next Gen Blue in 2014, whether he wins the trip or not!

During the 2013 Gen Blue conference opening session, Chris said his experience was inspiring; Tom Selleck was a guest speaker along with many top agents from around the country. Chris also says he has already implemented items learned from Gen Blue 2013 speaker Zan Monroe, like “you gotta think, gotta excel, and you have to make your goals bigger than you think you can achieve” and Chris plans on doing just that in 2014!
