CBHarper’s 5th Annual Chili Cook-Off 2017

October 27th, 2017 — Here at Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® we hosted our 5th Annual Chili Cook-Off on a cool, windy Friday afternoon. Company-wide teams come together to simmer their best recipes and compete for bragging rights to the best chili. Aside from fun, food and live music, performed by our very own Clifton Jansky, this event kicks off our holiday ‘Bear Hunt’. Open to the public, our chili cook-off costs a modest $2 entry or 1 stuffed animal to enter.

All of the funds and stuffed animals go directly to our ‘Bear Hunt’ efforts. To date, we have collected well over 125,000 thousand stuffed animals and bears and many more thousands in monetary donations. Everything we collect benefits the local Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, Police and Fire Stations, plus the well-loved stuffed animals are distributed to local pet shelters.

Our goal this year is to collect as many bears and stuffed animals as possible to spread the love this upcoming holiday season. Please visit one of our office locations near you:

Texas Law Enforcement Memorial Service

May 15th, 2016 — Recently Clifton Jansky, REALTOR® at Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® and notable musician, was honored to be a part of the Texas Law Enforcement Memorial Service. The service was held at the Texas Rangers Heritage Center in historic Fredericksburg, Texas. The Heritage Center is situated on a 12 acre campus with a covered 350 seat LoneStar Open Air Pavilion complete with Amphitheater, Campfire Circle and a full catering kitchen. Their mission is the story of heritage, history and culture of the Texas Rangers.

They honored 13 fallen Texas Law Enforcement Officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice while in the line of duty. Clifton expressed his gratitude by saying, “I am thankful for all the men and women who put on a uniform everyday whether military or law enforcement. They protect our freedoms and keep us safe.”

Texas Law Enforcement Officers

May 15th was designated as Peace Officers Memorial Day by President John F. Kennedy in 1962. The week in which that date falls is recognized as Police Week. Tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the U.S. participate in a number of planned events such as the one held at the Texas Rangers Heritage Center.

In this memorial release honoring these 13 fallen officers a quote reads,

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  – John 15:13

Their dedicated volunteer instructors teach life skills for the work place along with computer skills that prepare people for jobs. Through generous donations and enthusiastic volunteers they improve lives by teaching men and women to “fish” for themselves. This year marks the 9th Annual Golf Tournament and as a Title Sponsor, Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® and Integrity 1st Group are proud to support this wonderful cause.
