The REAL Trends 500, now in its 30th year, remains the undisputed leading report ranking performance of the top U.S. residential real estate brokerage firms. Firms are ranked by both transaction sides and sales volume. Due to the requirement that all information be independently verified, REAL Trends 500 remains THE trusted source for information about the performance of these firms.

GenBlue 2017 – Investigation and Case Solved!

Where will GenBlue be? That was the question of the hour today at 9:59am here at Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®. We spent weeks debating and contemplating the location. Many more months were spent wondering when it would be announced.

Today we all gathered at our respective offices huddled near a computer or smart phone waiting in anticipation for the announcement to be made.

To understand the excitement of some however, you had to be following the exclusive GenBlue social media group. This is where much of the international speculation took place the previous couple days.

In fact, a full fledged investigation took place note Exhibit A shared by Sam Grogan of Charlotte, North Carolina:

Which brings us to the moment of reveal. Gathered in the North Central / Stone Oak office of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® Pat Busby, VP of Residential Sales and Ali Heft Assistant VP of Residential Sales for the North Central Office waited with a large group of Sales Agents watching CBExchange.

Although the server crashed and the #GenBlue team effectively broke the system – the news was revealed via the social media group from across the country who were avidly posting.

Pauly Tamez Completes Coldwell Banker University’s Smart Home Technology Education Course

PTamez_672323[Boerne, TX ]  June 21 2016 – Today, Pauly Tamez, an independent sales agent affiliated with Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® in Boerne, announced his completion of the Smart Home Technology Education Course offered by Coldwell Banker University. Developed by Coldwell Banker Real Estate, LLC and CEDIA, the global trade association for the home technology market, the course is offered exclusively to independent contractor agents affiliated with the Coldwell Banker® network. The curriculum which provides an extensive look into the evolution of home technology with a focus on how smart home products are changing the way we live in and interact with our homes.

This course will equip Tamez with the skills needed to advise clients interested in buying and selling smart homes or installing their first smart home products. As smart homes become increasingly sought after in the Hill Country, Tamez recognized how essential is to educate himself to help clients make informed decisions about smart home technology.
“Smart home technology is entering the mainstream and quickly becoming a staple in homes across the country,” said Tamez. “The Screen Shot 2016-07-06 at 10.02.26 AMSmart Home Technology course has helped me sharpen my knowledge on the smart home and the products available, which in turn will allow me to better inform my clients when making smart home decisions.”

A Coldwell Banker survey of Americans found that almost half (45 percent) of all those who responded to the survey either own smart home technology or plan to invest in it in 2016. Furthermore, more than half (54 percent) of homeowners surveyed would install smart home products if they were selling their home and knew that doing so would make it sell faster. In response to this, Coldwell Banker Real Estate earlier this year released an official smart home definition to educate real estate professionals, home buyers and home sellers in consort with CNET, the world’s largest and most trusted online source of consumer technology news and reviews.

Survey Methodology

This survey was conducted online within the United States between October 22-26, 2015 by Harris Poll on behalf of the Coldwell Banker brand via its Quick Query omnibus product. The survey was conducted among 4,065 adults (ages 18 and over) among whom 1,009 own at least one smart home product. For the purposes of the survey, “smart home technology/products” were defined as products or tools that aid in controlling a home’s functions such as lighting, temperature, security, safety, and entertainment, either remotely by a phone, tablet, computer or with a separate automatic system within the home itself. Figures for age, sex, race/ethnicity, education, region and household income were weighted where necessary to bring them into line with their actual proportions in the population. Propensity score weighting was used to adjust for respondents’ propensity to be online.

All sample surveys and polls, whether or not they use probability sampling, are subject to multiple sources of error which are most often not possible to quantify or estimate, including sampling error, coverage error, error associated with nonresponse, error associated with question wording and response options, and post-survey weighting and adjustments. Therefore, the words “margin of error” are avoided as they are misleading. All that can be calculated are different possible sampling errors with different probabilities for pure, unweighted, random samples with 100% response rates. These are only theoretical because no published polls come close to this ideal.

Respondents for this survey were selected from among those who have agreed to participate in our surveys. The data has been weighted to reflect the composition of the adult population. Because the sample is based on those who agreed to participate in our panel, no estimates of theoretical sampling error can be calculated.

April 8th — Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® management team members recently attended the Leadership Summit in both Orlando, Florida and Chicago, Illinois hosted by Coldwell Banker, LLC. These conferences, taking place in multiple cities, were designed to empower Coldwell Banker brokers and managers in understanding and communicating the Coldwell Banker value proposition.
