3rd Annual Boerne Food Drive

November 8th, 2017 — We did it again! Each year Debbie McNeal works tirelessly with the Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries to coordinate efforts for holiday giving. This was our 3rd Annual Food Drive. Together we collected 420 cans of sweet potatoes, 420 cans of green beans plus a duffel bag full of sweet treats that were all delivered to Hill Country Daily Bread. This will help provide Thanksgiving meals to over 400 families this year. Our goal was not only reached but far exceeded. So, with the additional money collected, we will be purchasing Hams for the family’s Christmas dinners.

“I wanted to thank my CBHarper family and friends who contributed.”, says Debbie McNeal “By giving back we have helped to make the holidays a little brighter for these families.”

Thank you to all who participated, donated and shared in this effort, it wouldn’t be possible without you.

If you would like to join in giving back, contact Debbie via email

2nd Annual Easter Bunny Basket Brigade

March 2017 — Debbie McNeal, our award winning REALTOR® from the Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® Boerne Office organized the 2nd Annual Easter Bunny Basket Brigade. The Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries needed 450 baskets to be distributed to local children.

In just 4 short days their goal was not only met, but exceeded. Debbie reported,

I am very happy to say that with the help of donations made & volunteers to help with Basket Assembly, our 2nd Annual Easter Bunny Basket Brigade to benefit Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries was a HUGE success. Easter Bunny Basket Brigade

March 2016 — Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® teamed up with Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries to fill an urgent need for Easter Baskets. There are 352 children in the Kendall Country area that will be receiving Easter baskets and other goodies.

On Friday March 11th a team of volunteers helped assemble baskets, donations and treats. Additional donations are still being accepted at the Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® Boerne Office located at 1677 River Road in Boerne. It is through the efforts of our volunteers and members of our team that deliveries to help children enjoy a happy Easter full of love and laughter is possible.

We asked Debbie about what giving back to the community has meant to her and she replied, “I was completely overwhelmed by what we were able to accomplish with the donations we received! The volunteers that came together and brought their family members to help assemble baskets and fill plastic eggs was amazing.  We will be delivering 150 completed baskets, 844 Candy Filled Eggs, 300 Bibles, 100 pairs of girls socks, 144 bottles of nail polish, 100 tubes of chap/lip gloss, plus other miscellaneous items to be put in baskets for girls ages 11-18.  I am very proud of the group that we have and how we all come together to help those in need.  We had a great time putting the baskets together and some had extra fun as our Special Candy Inspectors.  Thanks to those special people, we know for sure the children will be safe with their candy! Because of all of you, there will be some very happy children this Easter.”

Delivery of baskets to Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries will be on Wednesday March 16th at 12:00pm. HCDBM facilities are located at 38 Cascade Caverns Rd. in Boerne.

Turkey Drive – HCDMB Boerne

trkey

During the holidays Sales Associates, employees and D’Ann Harper herself strive toward giving back to the community even more. The Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries was in desperate need of Turkeys to fill their Thanksgiving Boxes for local families. They needed 500 Turkeys to fill the needs of these families. Due to a bird flu epidemic this year the local Food Bank is not able to help them out as they have in previous years.

Debbie McNeal, a Sales Associate with our Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® Boerne Office took the initiative to lead the way on this effort. Throughout the year the Boerne Office works with Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries to help them provide for the needs of the local community. It is so special to those we serve to have a sit-down Thanksgiving meal in their own homes, with family and friends, that they have prepared and cooked themselves.  What a difference it IMG_3144makes to them not to have to stand in line for their Thanksgiving meal.
The funds collected were used to purchase as many turkeys as possible through the local HEB.

We spoke with Debbie and she shared some wonderful information with us,

The Turkey Drive was a huge success.  Today we delivered 224 Turkeys to Hill Country Daily Bread Ministries along with a check in the amount of $430.09.  I had pre-ordered 200 turkeys, since that was my personal goal from the beginning.  The funds collected actually far exceeded the 200 turkey order.  So, HEB was able to fill the order with an additional 24 turkeys that they had available when we picked up the order.  So, IMG_3141I contacted HCDBM & gave them the option of me ordering an additional 51 turkeys or giving them that money for grocery items if that better suited their needs.  They opted to take the check & use it to purchase grocery items they desperately needed to fill the Thanksgiving Dinner Boxes.  Thank you so much for your support throughout this process.  Because of you support & the support of CBDHR & so many others, we were able to provide Thanksgiving Dinner at home for 224 families this year!

6607569_1446840863.3495When we reached out to the Boerne community our friends supported this wonderful cause in helping feed families this Thanksgiving. There were also many personal donations made by friends, family & Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTOR agents from different offices.

A special thank you to all the folks that helped make this happen!

Helping out for Thanksgiving

The Hill Country Daily Bread services Bandera, Kendall, Kerr and Comal counties with food, household items, counseling, etc. Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® help them out in many capacities, and this Saturday, we will be meeting to help stuff 500 Thanksgiving boxes for needy families.

The Hill Country Daily Bread reached out to Amy Thibodeaux last week saying they are in need of canned goods.  Many in the Boerne office wanted to help, but needed some direction. Debbie McNeal stepped up to the plate and decided to be “a great woman on a mission” to get the most canned goods possible for the cause!  The office took up a collection of money (thank you everyone who gave). Debbie even called D’Ann, who also graciously gave out of her own pocket!  Debbie approached the local HEB and talked to the Manager about getting all the canned goods for Hill Country Daily Bread possible with the money collected. Well, we now have a whole pallet of canned goods to donate to The Hill Country Daily Bread! Yes, 1500 cans of food!

We are so proud of everyone who contributed to this amazing donation. Thank you for giving back!
