Kerry Dike, Back-to-Back #1 Individual Sales Agent 2015-2016

As the famous Shrek once said, “Onions have layers.” Much like the almighty onion Kerry Dike also has layers, except she doesn’t stink and won’t make you cry (on purpose).

Kerry Dike has been a Sales Agent with Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® since September 2006. On her eleven year journey with Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® Kerry is often described as extremely hard-working, energetic and a creative problem-solver. Well known for her sense of humor, Kerry is able to meet any challenge with optimism and determination. Evidence of her success has been the achievement of #1 Sales Agent in the company for 2015 and 2016. Kerry’s multi-million dollar production ranks heftily at approximately 12 million dollars.

Outside of being a full-time REALTOR® Kerry is involved in a Planning and Zoning Committee for the City of Shavano Park. The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of nine members appointed by City Council, one of which is Kerry. They recommend boundaries of zoning districts, appropriate regulations, as well as preparation for public hearings and reports to City Council.

When asked about her goals Kerry says, “It’s about everyday, working to be a better REALTOR® than I was the day before. I want to show my children that life is about work ethic and how hard you’re willing to work to get what you want. For me, D’Ann remains the Gold Standard in every way. Period. I’m proud to be a part of that legacy.”

The most positive impact on Kerry’s success has been her family. They have taught her that in the right shoes, you can go anywhere — except if you’re in heels… and it’s muddy or if you’re on one of those gravel paths. Regardless, Kerry says she makes family choices and support non-negotiable in business.

Going forward her Kerry’s goal for 2017 is to be the best real estate consultant she can be. She does offer some advice for those looking to break into the real estate industry, “Luck doesn’t exist in real estate. When you are prepared for success, you will then recognize opportunities as they happen.”

… also, “Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you’re a mile away, and you have their shoes.”

There are so many facets of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® each made of carefully selected professionals who truly love what they do. When thinking of the CB Harper Family as a whole it’s easy to highlight all the wonderful people on our team, but difficult to ensure we haven’t missed anything. We rely on the feedback from the nearly 400 people on staff and those on-board as Sales Associates. Recently some photos were forwarded along to us and we wanted to share some of the wonderful things that have been going on over at our North West Office.

Julie ConnerVice President Residential Sales and Ed ZapataAssistant Sales Manager have taken a very hands on approach in steering the reins at the North West Office. Pictured right Ed and Julie are rolling their sleeves up, unafraid to buckle down and replace ceiling tiles. It’s this kind of raw leadership that inspires some of the top agents in our company to call the Northwest Office home.

The Coldwell Banker Northwest Office is nationally recognized for production and professionalism. The sales associates located in this office specialize in real estate across the metropolitan San Antonio area, as well as, the surrounding hill country area. This office has received the prestigious Coldwell Banker National industry awards for “President’s Premier”, “President’s Elite” and “President’s Circle” signifying our sales associate’s strong commitment to each client. Andy Smith was recently featured in our blog for hosting a party for the first 100 clients who closed on their homes since he began his real estate career! Kerry Dike, Rhonda Howerton and Missy Stagers, of the North West Office were also highlighted in our blog for their achievements, being awarded San Antonio Business Journal’s winner of the Residential Real Estate Top Agents.

11539181_923471074381167_7480285496928633238_oDuring the 4th of July a celebratory party for the Sales Associates  was held not only to honor the holiday but to let the Sales Associates know much their hard work was appreciated. An array of delicious foods were served including 11694964_923471131047828_3061566249624438961_nfried chicken, potato salad, beans, chips, peach cobbler, blackberry cobbler and ice cream. This was generously sponsored by Debbie Blackerby of American Home Shield and Tamara of Coldwell Banker Mortgage. In addition, there was festivities and laughter over games of bean bag toss, hula-hoop and water balloons.

Just an example of some of the wonderful feedback we have received about some the Sales Associates over at the Northwest Office is featured here. It’s certainly assuring to know that Julie is so supportive of the Sales Associates and will work to highlight their achievements.

4271772_1429628166.0115A perfect example of the camaraderie was back in May when Julie held a silent auction for Rich Palacios and his wife Michele who was diagnosed with cancer in 2007. Still in an on-going fight Michele has battled through radiation, bone injections, various medications and treatments while the cancer has metasitized into her bones and now is stage 4. Julie held a silent auction and with the help of staff and Sales Associates alike raised over $4,000.  An update of the situation was gathered from the couple’s Go Fund Me account and reads,

Michele and I have decided to end the GoFundMe account. We are incredibly grateful to each and every one of you who donated!! We feel very blessed! Thank you for all the prayers as well! Thank you for everybody who held a fundraiser to help raise money!

Although our plan did not go accordingly when Michele’s treatment was cut short at the clinic. She will continue to fight her cancer with alternative treatments here at home. She has now been back for about a month and is doing much better!

Michele has an alternative doctor here in San Antonio who she sees on a regular basis and we are also hoping to continue some of the protocols from the clinic she attended here at home.

All the money we received will help pay for these treatments!

As hard as this has been there are so many blessings we have received along the way. This has definitely been a life changing event for us!

Thank you and God Bless!”

There are so many wonderful things about the much appreciated team at our North West office! We are open to receiving more news and updates directly at pr@cbharper.com, please be sure to include high-quality photos with description of your news.

Thank you Julie, Ed and the entire sales and staff team over at the North West office! We look forward to sharing more of your inspiring and wonderful stories.

Congratulations Kerry!

The San Antonio Business Journal proudly to announced the winners of the Residential Real Estate Awards, including the Top 25 lists for individual agents, residential teams, luxury agents and farm & ranch agents back in April. Kerry has been in the real estate services business in the San Antonio real estate markets for many successful years and will be here for many more. This longevity and confidence comes from her real estate services to a great many buyers and sellers. Their recommendations to others that result in repeat and referral business that keeps her productive and successful.

As a full service San Antonio real estate professional, she works with buyers, sellers and investors in real estate transactions spanning all of the price ranges and property types. Here’s what she has to say about how she can help you with any home transaction:

Residential Single Family – My residential single family services connect buyers with sellers every day, and I do it with professionalism and a total dedication to my clients. This property type is the majority of my market transactions, but by far not the only one in which I have expertise.

Condominiums – While condominiums are residential, they’re a very different market focus, and I am an expert in evaluating condos and helping buyers and sellers to cope with the special financing and homeowner concerns for this property type.

Multi–family – Investors are great clients for me. Multi–family properties are a very unique market. The detailed return on investment and valuation calculations investors need to evaluate properties for rental are second nature to me.

Vacant Land – Land is a very special property class. It’s relatively easy to show a gourmet cook a wonderful commercial kitchen in a home and see their eyes light up. It’s more of a challenge to help a buyer or seller to realize the potential in a piece of land. I’m can help with this.
