We All Just Wanna Be Big Rockstars

The Almost Patsy Cline Band and Coldwell Bankers very own Lanette Pannell, has proven that they are no opening act but in fact the main attraction at any gig they are attending. 

The Almost Patsy Cline Band is strongly influenced by the great singers and musicians of the past, while blending yesterday’s music onto today’s stage. The nostalgic music touches the heart, stirs the memory of the old, and educates the young, all while creating the best musical experience possible.

All of their performances are customize for age group and include: music for dancing or a choice of *Timeless Tunes – the Stories and the Songs, of country music’s roots to the sounds of legends like, Bob Wills, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, with Patsy Cline songs and how they mirrored her life. Also paying a tribute to America and the longest married couples attending the show. All of the shows are brought to life through high quality country and variety dance music, three interactive theater shows, or school programs!

The Almost Patsy Cline Band has been listed on the Texas Commission on the Arts Touring Roster for the past eight years. In the even numbered years the band has to re-apply for their slot on the Roster. The Roster is a part of the State’s grant system that grants money to qualifying non-profits for presenting the arts to their rural communities.

The Almost Patsy Cline Band consists of, Lanette Pennell on bass guitar and vocals, Vicki Gillespie on keyboard and vocals, Rick Reynolds on drums and vocals, Larry Lucas on guitar and vocals, Bill Pan on steel guitar and vocals, John Pennell and Peter Kristensen as crew and sound.

Realtor Roz, a Barrel Racing Superhero

Rozlyn Reeves‘ journey with horses began when she was barely old enough to hold herself up in the saddle. Growing up, her mom and dad always had horses to mount her on that were levelheaded enough to keep her safe but challenging enough to be riding and training rope horses to do speed events. Her family philosophy was always “if a horse can’t do it all, we don’t need it.

Rozlyn says that “Along the way, I never really appreciated all of the many blessings that were put into my life because up until a certain point, my life was on automatic. After the rope horses and peewee events, we had a race mare that we bred. We named her baby “Prissy” and began our backyard raising and training operations. Prissy, by the grace of God, turned out to be an All-Around Rodeo Champion who carried me through Junior High and High School Rodeos.”

During the process, Rozlyn knew she wanted to continue to further her rodeo career, so they picked out Prissy’s new ‘boyfriend’. During this whole experience, Rozlyn says that she can remember her mom saying several times, “We are giving this baby to God, if he wants this to be your future, then he will make it happen.

She goes on to say, “Of course, at that time I was an anxious eleven-year-old waiting to meet the new baby, so those words never really soaked in. In April of 2006, God blessed us with Ranger, a rambunctious little bay colt with a personality bigger than himself. Flash forward to today, Ranger is twelve years old. He is the reason I have not paid for my college education, and after 4 years of competing in college rodeo, I am looking forward to starting our next adventure wherever God leads us.”

In 2017, Ranger became very ill. Meanwhile, Rozlyn became aware that her passion in the rodeo world correlated with helping people learn how to ride and better not only themselves but their horses as well. The below video shows Rozlyn and Ranger at their first rodeo in 8 months at Bulverde CPRA:

“Training is something my mom has instilled in me,” Rozlyn says “I love helping people find common ground”. Needless to say, Rozlyn decided to share her love for helping people by assisting others in searching for their dream property. Giggling, Rozlyn says,”I literally woke up one day and thought to myself ‘Realtor Roz has a nice ring to it.”

And the rest is history.

Charlene Goree Earns Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Property Specialist Designation

San Antonio, TX, January 2018Charlene Goree, REALTOR®, CLHMS, GRI, SFR, RSPS of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® has earned the Coldwell Banker Global LuxurySM Property Specialist designation, according to Leesa Harper Rispoli, President of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®. To date, only ten percent of the more than 88,000 sales associates affiliated with the Coldwell Banker® brand have been awarded this designation. “In addition to performance-based criteria on successfully selling luxury properties, Goree had to complete a prescribed certification course to earn the Luxury Property Specialist designation,” said Leesa Harper Rispoli.

 

Launched in early 2017, the Coldwell Banker Global LuxurySM program legacy traces its roots to Coldwell Banker Previews International® and the Previews® program, a leader in luxury real estate since 1933. The Coldwell Banker Global Luxury certification course creates a standardized education model to help the newest generation of luxury agents meet and exceed the expectations of high-net-worth clients. In order to participate in the course, participating agents must meet strict production guidelines — “Some of the most rigorous standards in the industry today.” says Craig Hogan, Vice President of Luxury at Coldwell Banker Real Estate, LLC. Certification renewal is also required every 24 months, to ensure Luxury Property Specialists are up to date on new technologies, programs, and best practices.

 

Goree has been affiliated with Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® since 2012. Charlene was born in Houston, Texas but now lives and works in the New Braunfels Texas Area. Her service to the community earned her the ‘Unsung Hero’ award presented by the City of New Braunfels in 2015. She spends her time working with numerous charitable organizations including Habitat for Humanity and St. Jude’s Ranch.
