Congratulations Corleen Schneider, GRI Graduate

San Antonio, TX – The National Association of REALTORS® and its affiliated Institutes, Societies, and Councils provide a wide-range of programs and services that assist members with increasing skills, proficiency, and knowledge. Designations and certifications acknowledging experience and expertise in various real estate sectors are awarded by NAR and each affiliated group upon completion of required courses.

Congratulations Corleen Schneider! 

Corleen Schneider was awarded the certification of GRI.

People are Corleen’s business and helping people reach their realty goals are her passion. Born and raised in Canada, her background is in nursing having been a registered nurse for over 20 years. Corleen owned a home health agency for 12 years and it honed her skills in management, multitasking, communication and learning the importance of following through. A strong advocate for her clients’ needs, Corleen is forging her knowledge in real estate by earning such an important designation.

The GRI designation is a powerful tool to attract and build new business. This certification increases skill levels across the entire landscape of real estate with in-depth training in legal and regulatory issues, technology, professional standards, and the sales process. A minimum of 60 hours of coursework is required, and subjects covered generally include:

  • Market Knowledge: Neighborhoods and property amenities, considerations for housing types, developing CMAs and impact of MLS, financing option, and home-buying programs, inspections and appraisals/valuations
  • Business Skills: Prospecting, buyer and seller services, creating your niche market, negotiations, creating and implementing your brand
  • Systems and Tools: Record retention, form platforms, and applications, website portals, marketing tools, hardware and software to streamline your business
  • Avoiding Setbacks, Fines, and Lawsuits: Professional standards, contract to close, risk management, agency relationships, and advertising

Welcome Tom Zibelin, REALTOR®

Tom Zibelin grew up in San Antonio as one of six children. The close-knit family of 8 enjoyed memorable vacations in places like Port Aransas and Virgina. Tom’s father was a member of the Air Force and taught him the importance of honor and leading by example. Tom is a genuine soul who values integrity, respecting others, and faith. He attributes these qualities to both if his parents who taught him how to appreciate others and stay true to oneself.

Tom enjoys fishing with his son who currently attends college as well as watching his daughter play softball. He tells us that she has achieved a scholarship to continue playing softball when she moves on to college. When Tom is not spending time with his wife, Jill, and children, he enjoys a round of golf. He is passionate about his career here at Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®. We can expect good things from Tom and very much look forward to seeing more from him in the future.

Welcome Steven Hutson, REALTOR®

Born into a military family in Killeen Texas, Steven Hutson had the privilege of moving and experiencing all different types of cultures and people from all over the world. After his father retired, the family settled in a small East Texas town called Longview. Here he finished out his high school education and later was accepted into the private engineering university of LeTourneau University.

After completing his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering, he began his career in the Dallas market. Steven worked in the engineering field for over 14 years on projects ranging from golf course pumping stations (TPC Golf Course being one) to designing and building state of the art electric over hydraulic components for a multi-million dollar drilling rig.

Steven then went on to achieve his Masters in Business and stepped out as his own business owner. He bought into the Bush’s Chicken restaurant chain here in the San Antonio market. That business expanded to 8 stores in San Antonio and one location in Dallas. After 7 years in the business, February of 2017, Steven and his family decided to change course and sell the chicken business, which led him to real estate. “This was always an aspect of building stores that I loved to be a part of and wanted to somehow continue it,” says Steven.

Steven goes on to tell us, ” I obtained my license this year and after looking into several brokers I decided to interview with Coldwell Banker and have loved every minute since! The winning factors are the integrity, honesty, and Christian values that others seemed to lack.”

Steven is married to his wife of nearly 20 years, Amanda. They have two kids, Aubrie and Connor that attend San Antonio Christian School and a Jack Russell Terrier named Raskel. Aubrie plans to follow in her mother’s footsteps in being a teacher and majoring in special education. She is a powerhouse on her school’s swim team this year and has a passion for reading. Connor loves basketball and plays on the school team and also plays on summer league teams during offseason.

Lindsey Ashcroft Earns Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Property Specialist Designation

San Antonio, TX, December 20, 2017 — Lindsey Ashcroft, REALTOR®, CLHMS, of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® has earned the Coldwell Banker Global LuxurySM Property Specialist designation, according to Leesa Harper Rispoli, President of Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®. To date, only ten percent of the more than 88,000 Sales Agents affiliated with the Coldwell Banker® brand have been awarded this designation. “In addition to performance-based criteria on successfully selling luxury properties, Ashcroft had to complete a prescribed certification course to earn the Luxury Property Specialist designation,” said Leesa Harper Rispoli.

Launched in early 2017, the Coldwell Banker Global LuxurySM program legacy traces its roots to Coldwell Banker Previews International® and the Previews® program, a leader in luxury real estate since 1933. The Coldwell Banker Global Luxury certification course creates a standardized education model to help the newest generation of luxury agents meet and exceed the expectations of high-net-worth clients. In order to participate in the course, participating agents must meet strict production guidelines — “Some of the most rigorous standards in the industry today.” says Craig Hogan, Vice President of Luxury at Coldwell Banker Real Estate, LLC. Certification renewal is also required every 24 months, to ensure Luxury Property Specialists are up to date on new technologies, programs, and best practices.

2017 Holiday Blood Drive

December 2017 — Our semi-annual blood drive here at Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® was a tremendous success. During the busy holiday season, these folks stopped their busy day to give the gift of life. Well done! A total of 16 pints of blood was collected, each pint of blood saves 3 lives. This means we helped save 48 lives!

A very special thank you to everyone who donated helped get donations and Denise Barnhill who helped organize the drive. Also, thank you to Mika Conner, Jessica Livas, Carla Berryman and Kim Dooley who helped coordinate the sign-up of the donors.

Welcome Art Fernandez, Director of Real Estate Coaching

Art Fernandez was born and raised in San Antonio, TX where grew up alongside family members in real estate offices from the age of eight. At 16 years old he started working with his family friend and mentor Janice Doxtad. Little did Art know all the tools and methods Janice was instilling in him were the core fundamentals of successful real estate agents.

Licensed in 2000, Art began selling real estate that eventually earned him recognition for Multi-Million Dollar Production, 100% Club and numerous other awards for outstanding performance in sales. In 2007 Art expanded his expertise in coaching.  It was during this time Art trained and mentored Miguel Herrera, VP of Global Luxury. Since then Art has helped many offices with growth and development. During his career, he has trained over 1000 agents. Going forward he will work to develop and implement growth plans, accountability methods and tools for agents to sustain a successful career here at Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS®.

Art is the proud father of three beautiful children: Annabella, Diego, and Felipe. His children are the center of his world and the main drive behind why he is so passionate and dedicated to his work. He loves the outdoors, all sports and competes in Olympic weightlifting. Art has been serving the real estate community for the last 20 years and looks forward to continuing to help others.
