Its Official! CBHarper ‘Bear Hunting’ Season is Open!!

It is official! The Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® Annual ‘Bear Hunt’ Season is open. Last year the Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTOR offices collected over 5,200 stuffed animals. Of those, 1,116 were purchased with the proceeds of the Chili Cook-Off. This year’s Chili Cook-Off helped jump start this philanthropy effort by collecting nearly 400 teddy bears and stuffed animals. The goal for 2018 is to collect 7,500 teddy bears. Currently Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® has an estimated 900 stuffed animals. All of the offices in the Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® network are asking for the public’s help to collect teddy bears and help them reach this goal.

Every time a child is ready to undergo surgery at The Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, they are given a teddy bear to help console and soothe them. When a child is scared and in the protective custody such as The Children’s Bereavement Center of South Texas, Ronald McDonald Houses, Samm’s Family Shelter, Roy Maas’ Youth Alternatives, Bexar County Child Protective Services Rainbow Room, Boysville, Battered Women’s and Children’s Shelter, or Bexar County Dispute Resolution Center, just to name a few, Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® supplies teddy bears to comfort them.

Each of the 9 area offices ensure that teddy bears and stuffed animals collected are donated to local organizations such as Bandera EMS, The Boy’s and Girl’s Club, Kendall County Women’s Shelter, Hill Country Casa in Kerrville, and Kathleen Cailloux Humane Society.

Any donated stuffed animals that are ‘too-loved’ are donated to animal shelters, thus no act of generosity is overlooked.

If you have any stuffed animals to donate or would like to make a contribution of new teddy bears, contact one of the Official Donation Centers at the Coldwell Banker D’Ann Harper, REALTORS® sales offices:
